The world got to watch a black man by the name of George Floyd be snuffed out by police on television and no charges were made until protesting, which later led to rioting, ensued. It served as a reminder that no matter how peaceful we are as a group and quietly ask for justice that we will be ignored by the people who are currently in charge.
Racial barriers were broken by this event as more and more white people and people from other races and nationalities grew sick and tired of the injustice of the legal system. The movement was powerful it almost instantly spread from Minneapolis across the entire planet. People want to see justice and they want people who are supposed to serve the law to be held accountable. People have realized that the duty of police officers is supposed to be to serve and protect.
In a short decade, the response of this incident which has led to outrage is very much different than when George Zimmerman stalked and murdered an unarmed teenager, and racists and supremacists donated money to him in support of what he had done. We are too divided and you would think that anymore protesting would divide us more. Contrary, it has actually bought people of all races together. The current event has allowed people who don't experience what black people go through to see from our side and they have spoken. They are outraged. What began as frustration and rebellion against a government authority that has been seized and controlled by the KKK for decades has emerged as the biggest unifying fight for civil rights that our nation and the world has ever known.
Civil war has begun. Not a race war. Peace is emerging from the ruins of sadness, frustration, and despair. The world is uniting.
We now live in a reality where police officers are protesting against police officers. Everyone is fed up and tired of the division, the unfair treatment, and the racism.
The protestors all around the planet are focused and ambitious to make real change. The people of planet earth are calling for supremacist, Derek Chauvin, to receive the death penalty. As easy as it was for him to take a life, it should be just as easy for his life to be taken by the legal system.
What we are witnessing for, perhaps, the first time in our lifetime is a unity and solidarity with good people from all walks of life - all religions - all races and creeds - all nationalities. The people of planet earth are more united than we have ever been since the emergence of slavery. People across the planet are waking up and realizing that racism is at the fabric of holding us all back as human beings. We, the people, have spoken and we are demanding justice.
We live in a day and age where we are fighting back against the Ku Klux Klan and showing them that they will lose as they were always destined to lose. An event that many thought would divide us has unified us against the biggest threat we have ever faced, which is the root of which racism stems and an alliance against the people of this planet.
President Trump has revealed that he is in favor of a society in which the Ku Klux Klan has an ultimate rule and has called for them to shoot innocent civilians who only wish to peacefully protest and fight against injustice. In celebration of the events leading up till now, President Trump has called for MAGA night in celebration of what he believes is a victory over the people. He further spread his message of hate using the King James Bible, which is something supremacists have used to validate their hate and racism towards black people since slavery. President Trump is not hiding his racism. He has officially announced it. And all who stand by this president either accept it or validate it.
Derek Chauvin must be tried for first-degree murder with the possibility of a death sentence. The people must show our governments that work for us that they serve us and the will of the people. We can't budge and we can't let them win on this.
In protest, Klan officers are using extreme force on innocent people who aren't even protesting. And the very same good white people who stand by us have also become victims to their brutality. As long as the evil actions of some go unpunished then there will be no justice for anyone.
The people are united. The people are hurt. And the people are fed up. Derek Chauvin must be put to death and the other officers who are equally responsible must be punished! We will not stand for a light punishment or a slap on the wrist. We want and we demand justice!
